As I started this post I thought:

Do I put: {Utah Wedding Photography} – because I am a Utah photographer . . .
or do I put: {Illinois Wedding Photography} – because the wedding was in Illionois. Ah! The dilema!

So here is a sneak peak for Megan & Ben . . .
who’s nuptuals took place about three weeks ago in Nauvoo.

Awesome trip, rockin couple!

The week was so nice – blue sunny skies . . . and then the morning of their session it rained! Go figure. But the soft light did create a nice effect (even if you can see water drops on my lens on a few pics :D ). We debated a lot of different locations, but the rain demanded we go somewhere indoors – even if the roof was leaky!

It was a beautiful week . . . blue sky, little birds singing, the earth getting warm and green again . . . and then it snowed – the very hour of our photo shoot!

But then the sky cleared just a little, letting the sun absolutely glow on the world-becoming-new.

Which created beautiful light for the pictures.

I think the cold was worth it!

BTW – which of these do you like best and why? I tried some more extreme processing techniques, so {helpful} critiques are welcome! Leave a comment.

Leslee’s Bridals

Here is a sneak peak of Leslee’s bridals.

And another newborn session is coming soon too!

These photos were so much fun because of all the cool, art nouveau architecture and geometric patterns to play with.

I really like these because the brick added a lot of texture and color to the images.

Congratulations!

More Invitations

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Leslee decided she wanted two different wedding invitations . . .

A three panel accordian card . . .

and a 5×7 photo invitation.

The accordian card is at the printers. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

The 5×7’s . . . we’ve been working on them for the past couple days.

Leslee’s wedding colors are pink, a soft, silvery green, and black.

So here are the ideas:

This one went for your classic black and white damask with vintage photo corners.

This one was more colorful, using a floral pattern that shows off Leslee’s wedding colors. It’s a little more modern.

And which one did she choose:

She liked the layout of the colored one, but the elegance and style of the black and white.

I think this will be beautiful!
